What I do

Fitness & nutrition coach

I began working in fitness as a fitness instructor coaching adults with developmental disabilities.  While there, I began coaching everyday athletes at my local gym on the side.

After that, I had a brief stint as the Wellness Coordinator at a private school for teenage boys with ASD in North Carolina.  While there, I taught my students nutrition, weight training, sleep hygiene and all aspects of wellness to improve their lives.

After moving back to Chicago, I began building up my roster of athletes before going fully independent in 2021.

A Training Life

Experience has been the best teacher

I’ve always played sports and lifted weights while growing up.  Yet, it was more like randomly meandering through a forest – I had no idea where I was going, I just knew I was “going.”  While in college pursuing a degree in Theatre, I began focusing on the luxuries of food and alcohol (as many do in their early 20’s) and less so my old gym hobbies.

Eventually, in 2015, I decided to get serious about my weight and fitness and over the next several years I worked my way from 220 lbs to 149 lbs.

It wasn’t easy – and it wasn’t overnight – but it was worth every second.  That’s what I hope to give to all of my athletes and clients.

NO ONE REGRETS GETTING IN SHAPE

What I Do

During all that time, I learned two major lessons: Training has to fit the athlete - not the other way around.The secret is that there is no secret.
